Our story
Lavender Grain started in our Florida backyard.
What began as a few projects for our own home—an outdoor pavilion, a chicken coop, a bar we probably didn’t need but really wanted—turned into something we didn’t expect. We realized we loved to work with wood that already had something to say.
Not the perfectly uniform stuff. The pieces with knots, color shifts, and edges that don’t quite behave. The kind of wood that looks better because it’s not trying to be perfect.
That’s what we use.
Every piece we make starts the same way—finding something special in a dusty, rough, forgotten board - hidden grain, natural character, and beauty waiting to be revealed. From there we craft pieces that feels simple, useful, and worth keeping.
We don’t mass-produce anything. We don’t try to make every item identical. And we don’t cover everything in stain to make it look like something it’s not. We strive to use finishes that retain the natural colors.
What you see is real wood, shaped by hand, with all its variation left intact. Some pieces will be lighter, some darker. Some will have more knots than others. That’s not a flaw—it’s the whole point.
If you’re looking for something popular and uniform, we’re probably not the right fit. But if you like natural materials, character, and pieces that feel like they’ve got a story behind them, then you’ll feel at home here.
